About Susan Knudten

Work

My professional life began when I moved from Wisconsin to Denver in 1987 to open an improvisational comedy theater. It was a success, and I ran all aspects of the show (scheduling, marketing, accounting, human resources, etc.) and performed in thousands of live shows over the course of a decade.

After selling my half to my co-founder in 1998, I reinvented myself professionally and found a new niche—writing and communications. I learned from the bottom up, starting as an assistant and eventually becoming the chair of a national organization for communicators in the field of philanthropy. During this time, I continued performing at the theater for many years as well as acting in TV commercials and doing voiceovers.

In 2012, I began freelancing. Since then, I've gone in-house with one client and continue to split my time between performing and communications work—lots of variety, which makes me happy.

Life

I volunteer regularly and do my best to leave the world a better place than I found it. Being an ethical person is important to me.

Education

I have a B.A. in German from Marquette University. Such a practical choice.

That's enough about me. How can I help YOU?
